Where we started
A narrow focus from day one
Kraxen Ulpod was set up in 2020 specifically for tour operator training — not general business education, not soft skills workshops. Every programme addresses a concrete operational problem: licensing requirements, supplier contract structure, group logistics, or regional route planning.
Participants come from 17 oblasts of Ukraine. The remote format was a deliberate design choice, not a pandemic workaround — it lets specialists from Lviv, Kharkiv, and Odesa attend the same session without travel costs.
Each seminar runs 4 hours with a structured break. The format includes a 90-minute presentation block, a case-analysis segment, and a 45-minute open discussion. Questions are submitted in advance so the instructor can prepare specific answers.

How the curriculum is structured
Modules are grouped by operational domain, not by difficulty level.
Legal and licensing
Ukrainian tour operator law, licensing conditions, liability frameworks, and contract templates reviewed against current DSTU standards. Updated whenever legislation changes — 3 updates issued since 2022.
Supplier and partner relations
Negotiation structure for hotels, transport companies, and ground handlers. Includes real contract clauses reviewed by a practising lawyer, not generic templates.
Regional route planning
Practical sessions on domestic destination development — Carpathians, Black Sea coast, central Ukraine. Covers seasonal demand patterns, local permit requirements, and pricing benchmarks from 2023–2024 data.
Crisis and complaint handling
Structured response protocols for common operational failures — missed transfers, accommodation disputes, force majeure. Based on 140 documented cases from Ukrainian operators.
The people behind the seminars
Each instructor has at least 8 years of direct industry experience before joining the programme.
Daryna Vasyliuk
Lead Instructor
Ran a mid-size tour operator in Kyiv for 11 years before moving into education. Specialises in legal compliance and supplier contract structure. Leads 14 of the 38 modules.
Bohdan Kravets
Curriculum Director
Spent 9 years as operations manager for a regional tour company covering western Ukraine. Responsible for keeping module content current — reviews all materials each quarter.
Oksana Petrenko
Regional Coordinator
Coordinates participant intake from 17 regions and manages the pre-session Q&A process. Previously worked in destination management for Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts for 8 years.
